Volunteers Needed!
We can’t do this without you!
Anna and Brian are committed to keeping MHMG going, but sustaining the organization is a big task for two people. For MHMG to survive—and eventually thrive—we need your help.
Please consider volunteering for one or more of our committees. Any amount of help is welcome.
We have six volunteer categories. To provide stability as we rebuild, we hope to have at least three volunteers in each category and ask for a one-year commitment. When your term ends, we also ask that you help identify and support your replacement.
1. Executive Committee
∙ Provide leadership and guidance for the organization
∙ Help shape a vision for MHMG’s continued growth
∙ Provide strategic guidance to help MHMG meet its goals and objectives
∙ Actively engage with and expand our reach into diverse holistic healing communities
∙ Business-minded or entrepreneurial volunteers are especially welcome
2. Volunteer Coordinators
∙ Recruit community members whose skills and talents can help MHMG grow
∙ Support and guide volunteers serving on the various committees
∙ Serve as a liaison between the volunteers and the Executive Committee
∙ Ensure that volunteers are seen, heard, and appreciated for their efforts
3. Membership Coordinators
∙ Identify and recruit new members
∙ Process dues payments throughout the year
∙ Track active members and identify members who may need renewal reminders
∙ Coordinate the annual renewal process in September
∙ Send renewal reminders in the months leading up to September
4. Event Planning Coordinators
∙ Help organize quarterly MHMG meetings
∙ Ideally have the next year’s events finalized by September of the current year
∙ Ensure a diversity of formats, including informal networking events and more formal meetings with speakers/CME
∙ Select dates and secure locations for events
∙ Recruit event-specific volunteers to help with the logistics at the event
5. Outreach Coordinators
∙ Initiate and maintain MHMG’s social media presence
∙ Create and distribute a monthly MHMG newsletter
∙ Each newsletter will highlight 2-3 members of our community and the unique work they are doing
6. Tech Coordinators
∙ Create, maintain, and expand our database of members
∙ Maintain and expand our website
∙ Create email campaigns to promote member engagement and provide periodic updates
∙ Help with any tech-related issues when they arise
